DASNI hosts meet-ups through live chats at http://www.alzinfo.org. Come visit at 3 pm or 9 pm EST. People are often there at other times as well.
Face-to-Face Meet-Ups
The Alzheimer's Association hosts Early Stage support groups in many communities. Find the Alzheimer's Association in your phone book to see if groups are available in your area.
Groups enable people with dementia to meet one another at the same time as their caregivers meet for education, tips and support. Support groups are led by Alzheimer's Assocation staff or trained volunteers. If there are no groups available in your area, ask that one be started. Volunteer to be one of its first members. You can visit the national Alzheimer's Association chat rooms as well.
Start a support group yourself. Email us if you are interested in starting a support group or to be put in touch with someone else with dementia.
